Top maoist operations commander nabbed in Jharkhand

In a major breakthrough, central forced in a joint operation with state police have arrested the operation commander of eastern regional company of maoist have been arrested in Jharkhand.
“Inderjeet alias Kapil Yadav, the Operation Commander of Eastern Regional Bureau Company of CPI (Maoist) and a close associate of maoist central committee member Arvindji alias Deo Kumar Singh, has been arrested on the interevening night of 17/18 while he was undergoing treatment,” Indian Home ministry said in a statement.
Inderjeet was operating in the Koel Sankh area of Jharkhand and bordering areas of Gaya in Biharand he was injured during an encounter on June 12 in an encounter with central forces and Jharkhand police near Kumandih Railway station in Lathehar district.
Indian Home ministry spokesperson said that Inderjeet had been operating as an Operation Commander of Maoists and was reportedly involved in major incidents of Naxal violence in Jharkhand including the incidents on January 21, 2012 at Bhandaria in Garhwa district in which 13 police personnel were killed and on January 7, 2013 at Katia in Latehar district of Jharkhand in which 11 security personnel were killed and an IED was found planted in the body of a CRPF Constable.
