Teenaged girl murdered by father for not ending love affair with youth

A teenaged girl was allegedly murdered by her father after she didn’t end love affair with a boy that didn’t belong to their caste despite his repeated warnings.
The case of honour killing was reported from Mehrauli area of South Delhi almost after a month and police have recovered mortal remains of the 16-year-old.
“The accused, Liakat Ali who is a native of Gulavathi in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr district, was upset over his daughter’s affair with a youth of his native village as he didn’t belong to their caste. Ali has asked his daughter to end the love affair but the teenaged girl was adamant on her wish of marrying the boy,” said the police, adding that when the girl didn’t end her affair despite his repeated warning, he murdered her by strangling her while she was sleeping.
After murdering his daughter, Liakat dumped her body in a drain and filed a missing complaint in Bulandshahr four days after committing the crime.
“Liakat was questioned by officials after they couldn’t find the girl or make any headway in the case and he confessed to have committed the crime,” said the police, adding that they have recovered mortal remains of the girl from a drain on his instance.
Police have registered a case in this regard and they are further probing the case.
