Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Sunday termed the decision of elevation of Narendra Modi as Chairman of 2014 Poll Campaign Committee as game changer for 2014 General elections.
Sukhbir said that the announcement will mark the beginning of decimation of corrupt, inefficient and insensitive UPA II government from Centre.
“People of the country are looking towards National Democratic Alliance to save the country from the clutches of most corrupt UPA government,” Sukhbir said, adding that the appointment of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as Chairman of Poll Campaign Committee of BJP will be catalytic in NDA’s victory in 2014 elections.
Badal said that Modi has shown his capability and caliber in successful poll campaigns of Gujarat and we should utilise his services to effetely chalk out NDAs campaign, projecting the failures of UPA-II.
“Shiromani Akali Dal has remained an inseparable part of NDA and will continue to support BJP in all its moves and decisions to oust Congress Party from the power,” he added.
Meanwhile, Punjab’s Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal while hailing the elevation of the Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as the Chairman of the Bhartiya Janata Party’s Election Campaign Committee for the forthcoming Lok Sabha election, described his elevation as a master-stroke and a knock out punch against a staggering UPA government and Congress party.
