Punjab govt approves terms of reference for inquiry into books purchase scandal

Punjab government on Saturday approved the terms of reference for inquiry into purchase and supply of library books for primary and upper primary schools of the state.
“Punjab’s Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today approved the ‘terms of reference’ of enquiry entrusted to justice A N Jindal (Retd.) of Punjab and Haryana High Court to probe into the allegations relating to purchase and supply of Library books for Primary and Upper Primary School through a private supplier and Language department, Science kits and map masters in the Education Department,” said a Punjab government spokesperson.
“The ambit of enquiry would include the role of any person in these purchases/supply and the enquiry in this regard was to be completed within three months,” added the spokesperson.
