Haryana's technical institutes barred from seeking affiliation from other state’s varsities

Haryana government on Wednesday barred colleges and technical instites of the state that are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) or Council of Architecture (COA) or any other Statutory Council that are offering technical courses from seeking affiliation from other state’s universities.
“No college or institution will be allowed to seek affiliation for university of other states and the decision has been taken keeping in view the decisions mentioned in the judgment of Supreme Court of India, High Court of Delhi and instructions and guidelines issued by University Grants Commission,” said a Haryana government spokesperson.
