With an objective to protect the coronavirus warriors, the BJP government led by PM Narendra Modi passed an ordinance to protect and ensure the safety of Doctors. Para Medical Staff, Nurses, Asha Workers and others. After the ordinance passed by Modi government the attackers would have to land in jail for 6 months to 7 years, if they attack or harm the coronavirus warriors while performing their duty during the period of Covid-19 pandamic. Union minister Prakash Javedkar while briefing the media said that attacks on the Covid-19 warriors would not be tolerated and strict action would be taken against the guilty. The provision of steep fines has been made in the ordinance for the attack on the coronavirus warriors, which include the fine upto  Rs. 2 lacks and the double amount of fine of the total losses made to property (Vehicles or others) of corona warriors. In case of serious attacks. The new law has been made after an amendment to century old Act, under which the offence is non bailble.
