Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has launched Redmi Note and Redmi Note 4G in India in the price of Rs 9,000-10,000.
As per reports, Redmi Note would go on sale exclusively on Flipkart.com on December 2, 2014 for which registrations would begin tomorrow i.e. November 25. While, Redmi Note 4G would only be available with Airtel stores across six cities where 4G services have been launched.
Xiaomi would sell 50,000 units each of Redmi Note and Redmi Note 4G in India.
Redmi Note runs on 2G and 3G network and it is powered by octa-core MTK 6592 1.7GHz MediaTek processor from.
Redmi Note features 5.5-inch HD IPS display 720 x 1280 pixels, Android 4.3 OS with MIUI 5 that is powered by a 3,200 mAh lithium-polymer battery, 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing camera.
Redmi Note also sports 2GB RAM, 8GB internal memory expandable up to 32 GB, Dual-SIM (micro 3G+2G) at a price of Rs 8,999.
Redmi Note 4G is a single SIM, dual band LTE phone that works on both TDD-2300 MHz and FDD-1800 Mhz 4G frequency bands and would be available in Airtel stores by December end.
Redmi Note 4G has 5.5-inch HD IPS display, Corning Gorilla Glass 3, 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8928 processor, 2GB RAM, 8GB internal flash memory with external microSD slot that supports up to 64GB Single SIM, 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera with 3100 mAh lithium-polymer battery.
Xiaomi announced Lollipop update for these phones but it would be made available to Mi UI 6, then for Mi devices and then Redmi smartphones.
