Punjab raises basic qualification for D Pharmacy course to 12th class

Punjab government on Tuesday raised the minimum qualification for D Pharmacy (Up-Vaid) course to 12th class from the earlier criteria of 10th pass.
Punjab’s Medical Education and Research minister Anil Joshi said that the qualification for the course has been raised to 12th pass after a delegation of Government Ayurvedic and Unani Up-Vaid met him in this regard. “The eligibility criteria has been raised to increase employment opportunities for the diploma holders of the state as the qualification for this course in states like Himachal and Haryana is 12th pass,” Joshi said, adding that till now, 10th pass students were eligible to pursue the D Pharmacy course.
