Gurdass Maan enthralls public on Punjab Day at IITF Delhi

The festivity of ‘PUNJAB DAY’ was the centre of attraction at the Punjab Pavilion in 33rd India International Trade Fair, 2013 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi last night.
A spokesman of the Punjab Government said that a Cultural evening was organized by the Punjab Small Industries & Export Corporation Limited, Chandigarh, where renowned Punjabi Singer Gurdas Mann enthralled the large number of audience with his popular songs. The audience swayed with the pulsating rhythm of the folk.
He further said that the Chief Guest present on the occasion was Mr. Madan Mohan Mittal, Industries & Commerce Minister, Punjab. Mr. N.K Sharma, Chief Parliamentary Secretary was the guest of Honour. They also took the round of Punjab pavilion.
The Spokesperson said that the entrance reception area has a creative 3D- Mural based on the inclusive growth and showcases Progressive Punjab as Holistic units. He said that En-route Umbrella 1 to Umbrella 2, highlights of “ENGAGING YOUTH THROUGH SPORTS” via graphic wall is projected as state’s initiative in above pursuit. SHINING PUNJAB visual is self explanatory of Growth in State.
The further said that in Umbrella 2 the highlights are, Science & Technology, Punjab Agricultural University, Punjab Agro, Punjab Mandi Board, Milkfed, Markfed. Extensive display work of Vibrant Industry of Punjab is showcased. “Visitors also have opportunity to buy the traditional handicrafts items from various stalls in Pavilion. The stalls are given at concessional rates to Punjab Craftsmen most of them are National and State Awardees” he added. Pavilion is conceptualized and executed by PSIEC (Punjab small Industries & Export Corporation Ltd) promoting small scale industry to grow in Punjab.
The other eminent guests present were Mr.Vikas Pratap, IAS, Secretary and Director of Industries, Punjab and Mr. Yashvir Mahajan, IAS, Managing Director, PSIEC Ltd., Chandigarh.
