Unit director of Amir Khan’s film ‘PK’ arrested for hurting religious sentiments

A unit director of Amir Khan starrer film ‘PK’ was on Wednesday arrested for hurting religious while they were shooting a scene of movie in Chandni Chowk area of New Delhi.
As per reports, crew members of Rajkumar Hirani’s movie were shooting a sequence of PK movie in which a man dressed as Lord Shiva was shown pulling a rickshaw with two burqa clad women sitting in it.
“At first people of Chandni Chowk area thought it was a Ramlila procession but after they saw cameras and other cast of crew, some of them approached Kotwali police station and filed a complaint against the film’s crew,” said a police official, adding that some protestors starting shouting slogans outside the police station and a case has been registered against a unit director and three actors in this regard at the local police station.
Meanwhile, police authorities haven’t divulged the name of the arrested unit member, however, Amir Khan has reportedly clarified that it was dream sequence of the movie and they had all the legal papers and permission for shooting.
