Two minor girls raped in Shimla

Two minor girls were allegedly raped in two separate incidents on Monday night in Shimla.
In the first incident, a 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped by taxi driver in a hotel in Shimla. Sources said that the minor girl had come to attend a close relative who is admitted in the Indira Gandhi Medical College at Shimla and she had left the hospital premises after an argument with her mother.
“When she reached Lakkar Bazar last night, she was offered lift by a taxi driver who drugged her and took her to hotel where he allegedly raped her,” said the police, adding that the taxi driver dropped the girl near Lakkar Bazar eary this morning and they have arrested the accused driver.
In second incident, a schoolgirl was allegedly raped by her classmate along with his accomplice and left her outside her Vikasnagar residence in an unconscious state last night.
Police said that the parents of the minor girl had filed a complaint at Chota Shimla police station on September 30 that their daughter had gone missing on September 28. “The girl has been admitted in a hospital where she is undergoing treatment hospitalised,” a police officer said.
Police said that they have arrested Hemraj and have detained the minor girl’s classmate in the case and they are further investigating the matter. Sources said that both suspects were known to the girl’s family.
