Veteran Bollywood actor Pran dies at the age of 93

Veteran Bollywood actor Pran died at the age of 93 in Mumbai’s Lilawati hospital on Friday evening after prolonged illness.
Pran Kishan Sikand, popularly known as Pran, is remembered for powerful performances in negative as well as positive roles and he had performed with legends of Indian Cinema as Dilip Kumar, Dev Anand, Raj Kapoor and Amitabh Bachhan.
Pran had brought new mannerism and style, holding the audience spell bound by his acting and he was awarded with the Padma Bhushan in 2001 for his contribution to Indian Cinema.
He was awarded with highest award for acting in India, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award that was presented to him at his residence in Mumbai on May 10 by Indian Information and Broadcasting minister Manish Tiwari.
