IAF replaces Sachin with Pilatus aircraft as its new brand ambassador

New Delhi/July 16
Indian Air Force (IAF) has replaced Indian legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar with Swiss Pilatus flight trainer aircraft as their new brand ambassador.
IAF has bestowed honorary rank of Group Captain on master blaster batsmen Sachin in 2011 and had started promotional campaign with cricketer’s pictures to attract youth to join Air force and become pilots.
But now, IAF has replaced Sachin with Swiss made Pilatus aircraft in its promotional campaigns and even IAF’s publicity wing has included the aircraft’s picture as its brand ambassador after removing Sachin’s picture.
Earlier, IAF had also denied Sachin’s request of flying in Sukhoi aircraft by saying that the air force has busy schedule and they don’t have time for conducting such flights.
In 2011, IAF and Indian government had accepted Sachin and Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s request for flying in Sukhoi fighter jets but they couldn’t avail the opportunity due to their busy schedule.
