Haryana government has invited applications from students belonging to Scheduled Castes for Post Matric Scholarship scheme for 2014.
“All students belonging to Scheduled Castes studying from post matric classes upto Post graduate classes and whose parents’ annual income from all sources did not exceed Rs. 2.50 lakh are eligible under this scheme,” said a Haryana government spokesperson, adding that maintenance allowance, additional allowance for handicapped students, books allowance and book bank facility for specialized courses, sports, library, medical examination and other *allowances are provided to students under the scheme.
The spokesperson said that the amount refunded by the University, colleges and institutions will not be paid. Under the scheme, maintenance allowance ranging from Rs 230 to Rs 1200 per month is given to the students and to avail the benefit of tuition fee and other allowances, the eligible students studying in University, colleges and institutions can submit their forms on the link given on the website of the Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes department www.haryanascbc.gov.in.
“The link for online submission of forms will be available from July 15 to October 31, 2013 and the concerned university, colleges and institutions have been asked to send the application forms to the department for payment,” the spokesperson added.
