Sadhus caught with Rs 24 lakh in Uttrakhand

Dehradun/June 23
Uttrakhand police on Sunday took more than 10-12 sadhus in their custody after they recovered around Rs 24 lakh from their possession.
Police officials are suspecting that the sadhus might have stolen the money from Kedarnath temple or from State Bank of India’s branch in Kedarnath.
“The sadhus were carrying the cash in their belongings and they are being questioned to ascertain as to from where they have taken this money,” said police sources, adding that they will register a case against them in this regard.
