Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Friday said that it will go by NDA on choice of PM and claimed that the alliance will get majority on its own in 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
SAD president and Punjab’s Deputy Chief minister Sukhbir said that NDA will wipeout corrupt Congress Party in the upcoming general elections.
“Shiromani Akali Dal as a responsible constituent of NDA had always maintained that we will go with the NDA as far as the choice of PM was concerned,” Sukhbir Badal said, adding that different with JD (U) is an internal matter of NDA.
Sukhbir said that NDA will unitedly fight these elections with the singular aim to defeat Congress Party and Delhi Unit of Shiromani Akali Dal is fully geared up for Vidhan Sabha elections in Delhi.
“These elections will be fought in alliance with its traditional partner BJP, however, we have not yet talked on the issue of seats and these issues would be mutually worked out,” Badal said.
Meanwhile, he congratulated the Sikhs of National Capital for ousting Sarna’s, who were acting as proxy group of Congress Party, from the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and said that these elections were trailer for Delhi Vidhan Sabha elections.
“DSGMC has already initiated series of measure to promote Sikhism by providing free education to baptized Sikhs in schools run by it. Similarly, many measures free treatment to baptized Sikhs in hospitals were in offing,” Badal added while stating that party cadres have geared up for upcoming Panchayats Elections scheduled to be held on July 3.
He added that it was PPCC Chief Partap Singh Bajwa that was running away from the electoral battle and he, after suffering humiliating defeat in his own constituency, is knocking at the door of Punjab and Haryana High Court to scuttle these elections in order to save his presidency.
