Punjab government on Monday announced that the state government will receive funds proposal from all government department through online mode from July 1 and is all set to run paperless administration.
“As the training process to all concerned officials/employees has been completed so it has been decided to receive the all proposals for release of funds online only from July 1,” said a Punjab government spokesperson, adding that the move is a part of the e-sarkar project.
“A monitoring system has been implemented on IWDMS under which the facility has been given to all departments to submit all cases for release of funds online to the department of Finance and now it has been decided that the Finance Department would receive fund release proposals online only and no physical files would be required to be submitted,” said the spokesperson.
He further said that to assist the departments in this regard, TCS has also deputed their personnel in the administrative department to implement this procedure successfully.
“Besides this, the system has also inbuilt facility for uploading scanned copy of any required documents and all concerned department officers have been told to ensure smooth change over to the new procedure,” he said, adding that in case of any assistance, the departments may call the toll free no 1800-41 90737.
