India’s first technical university for women starts admission process

India’s first ever technical university for women has started admission process for B.Tech and M.Tech after it was inaugurated by Delhi’s Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit on Thursday.
The Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University (IGIT) for Women has been setup to provide women higher education in the field of technology and research.
IGIT unversity is offering four B.Tech courses and five M.Tech courses that include masters’ degree in computer application.
IGDTU has been upgraded from the erstwhile Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology that was set up in 1998.
Interested candidates can apply for courses till July 1 while counseling for these courses will be held on 15 July. For application forms and further details, candidates can log onto university’s website:
