Indian oil companies hikes petrol prices by Rs 2 per litre

New Delhi/June 15
Indian Oil companies on Saturday hiked petrol prices Rs 2 per litre due to the depreciating rupee and a sharp increase in crude oil prices in global markets.
The revised prices will come into effect from today midnight and the prices will vary in states across the country after inclusion of local taxes.
Indian Oil Corporation said that the price has been hiked due to the depreciation in the value of rupee and rise in international crude oil prices. The combined impact of these two factors has compelled the company to revise the prices.
