Himachal’s lad makes it to India’s U-19 cricket team

Himachal’s lad Ankush Katkar Singh Bains was on Monday selected to India’s Under 19 cricket team squad that will play a tri-series in Australia starting from June 30.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra’s Vijay Zol has been appointed as captain while Rajasthan Royal’s Sanju Samson will be the vice captain of the team.
17-year-old Ankush Bains will be the wicketkeeper of the team that was selected in Bengalore today.
BCCI’s secretary Sanjay patel said that the All India Junior Selection Committee met in Bengaluru earlier today to pick the squad for the tri-series in Australia to be played in June-July 2013.
Ankush Bains is a resident of Himachal’s Hamirpur district and he play in the under 19 team as wicketkeeper batsman.
Other member of the under 19 team include Vijay Zol (Captain), Sanju Samson (Vice Captain), Shreyas Iyer, Akhil Herwadkar, Deepak Hooda, Mohammad Saif, Sarfaraz Khan, Ricky Bhui, Abhimanyu Lamba, Rishi Arothe Baroda, Atul Singh, C.V. Milind, Aamir Gani, Kuldeep Yadav.
