Shimla/ June 6
BJP candidate for Mandi bypoll, Jairam Thakur on Thursday alleged that Congress leaders were resorting to the threatening of village pradhans belonging to BJP to favour Congress party. Addressing public rallies in Rampur and Juri in Rampur assembly segment on Thursday, Jai Ram Thakur said that Congress government had done no development in the state, but it has only changed the names of schemes that were started on the name of former prime minister and BJP leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Lashing out at the state Congress government, Thakur alleged that it has only harassed state employees by transferring them on mass scale and more than 80000 employees have been transferred in last five months. He accused the state Congress government of acting in a revengeful and vindictive way by ordering inquiries and now it is trying to gain cheap publicity by registering cases against BJP leaders.
BJP leader said that public was well aware about the cheap tricks of Congress party and would not let them misguided by false statements.
He accused the Congress government for closing the education institutes Degree College, Nankhari and ITI Kharahan in Rampur assembly segment, only due to political reasons. Thakur said that BJP government had opened these institutes on the demand of public of this assembly segment.
