In a latest development four more new Jamatis from remote regions Tissa of Chamba district in Himachal Pradesh have been found to be Covid-19 ( Corona) positive. These Jamatis had attended the Tabligi Jamat in New Delhi. Adding these persons, the number of active Corona positive cases has been reached 11, out of which all 11 pertains to Tablighi Jamatis. Four cases have already been shifted out of state, which detected in Baddi area of Solan district. The hill state of Himachal Pradesh has witnessed a sharp increase in the Corona patients from the last few days as the most of the cases belong to Tablighi jamat. So far two Corona positive persons have lost their lives in Himachal Pradesh. One person died in Dharamshala, who had returned from USA recently, while in an another case a woman from Delhi who was living in Baddi died at PGIMER Chandigarh while being treated.
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today called on Governor Bandaru Dattatraya at Raj Bhavan, today and apprised him about the initiatives and steps being taken by the State Government to fight COVID-19 in the state.
The Chief Minister said that effective steps have been taken well in time in the State and the situation is under control. Outsiders were being monitored and investigation was being done through door to door Active Case Finding Campaign, he added.
The Governor appreciated the efforts taken by state government to fight this pandemic and to ensure essential commodities to the people of the state. He also expressed his satisfaction that the guidelines issued by Government of India and State Government from time to time were being followed properly in the state.
