A total of 174 persons out of 295 returned from abroad have completed their home quarantine periods and 114 were still under surveillance in Hamirpur district. Seven have already left the district. As many as 1470 beds have been created in the district under 23 institutional isolation and quarantine centres and 68 persons have been kept in different such centres. Most of these people are about to complete their period. Health authorities are keeping an eye over these persons.
This was revealed by Deputy Commissioner Harikesh Meena here on Thrusday. He told that the people were co-operating the authorities by sticking to the norms set for social distancing and following prohibitory orders. The administration was making every possible effort to supply essential items to the people at their door steps. By this time a total of 1979 quintals of ration had been distributed to 40,940 people through 10413 kits. By this time, 1287 quintals of vegetables and fruits, 61 quintals of groceries, 33 thousand liters milk, and 6600 packets of milk products tec. were supplied in various sub-divisions.
Meena asked the people not to indulge in rumor mongering and be careful while forwarding or posting any news or information on social media as it might lead to legal action against the violators. He told that 13 passengers which travelled in the bus of Nalagarh Depot of HRTC had been identified. Samples of four persons including the driver of this bus found to be negative on testing. Ten other persons had been identified and the remaining three were being contacted. He asked the people not to get panic and help the administration in fight against Corona virus.
