Himachal minister's PSO shot at two youths in Shimla

Himachal Industry Minister Mukesh Agnihotri’s Personal Security Officer (PSO) on Thursday night shot at two youth at a Shimla hotel, injuring one of them.

As per reports, HP Police on Friday booked the personal security officer (PSO) of Industry Minister Mukesh Agnihotri for allegedly firing at two youth from his service revolver in Shimla on Thursday night.

Police said that an attempt to murder case had been registered against gunman Pankaj Sharma as he was charged with firing in the state-run Hotel Holiday Home on Thursday evening. The minister’s driver Rakesh Kumar has also been booked in the case.

The complainant Kashish Khanna, a resident of Shimla who suffered bullet injuries on his foot, was hospitalised at the Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital.

Police sources said that an argument took place between two youth identified as Kashish Khanna and Abhay Kumar over parking of vehicle at Hotel Holiday Home after the PSO shot at two youths with his service revolver.

“Kashish suffered bullet injuries in his leg while his friend Abhay Kumar escaped unhurt in the incident. He was rushed to IGMC Shimla for medical treatment where his condition is said to be stable,” sources said, adding that the minister was also present in the hotel when the firing took place.
