Himachal extends Tribal Advisory Council term by two years

Himachal government on Wednesday extended the tenure of the HP Tribal Advisory Council has been extended for two years from April 5, 2015.

A state government official said that as per the notification issued by the government in this regard, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh would be the Chairman of the Council.

Forest Minister Thakur Singh Bharmouri, Deputy Speaker, HP Vidhan Sabha Jagat Singh Negi, MLA Lahaul & Spiti Ravi Thakur would be the members of the Committee.

The other members from Kinnaur district would be Ram Singh, Village Ropa, Tehsil Pooh, Preetam Negi, Village and Tehsil Pooh, Jagdeesh Negi, Village and Tehsil Nichar, Amar Chand, Village Shodarang, Tehsil Kalpa, Preetam Negi, Village Kothi, Tehsil Kalpa and Shri Naresh Negi, Village Spilo, Tehsil Pooh.

The members from Lahaul & Spiti district include Navang Bodh, Village Sharkheng, Tehsil Keylong, Pyare Lal, Village Tindi, Tehsil Udaipur, Sohan Singh, Village Kaza Tehsil Spiti and Dorze Chhopal, village Lara, Tehsil Kaza.

Ram Charan, village and Tehsil Kilad, Kishan Chopra, village Karyas, Tehsil Kilad, Bhajan Singh Thakur, village and Tehsil Bharmaur and Shubh Karan, village and Sub Tehsil Holi would be the members of the council from Chamba district.

The Chief Secretary of the state government would be the ex-officio secretary whereas Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary (Tribal) will be the joint ex-officio member of the council.
