Haryana: Couple's bodies found in trunk in Sonipat in suspected honour killing case

In a suspected case of honour killing, mutilated bodies of a couple were found in trunks in Bahalgarh area of Sonipat district in Haryana on Monday morning.

As per reports, the dead bodies of a couple that were placed in two trunks were found in Devilal Park near NH-1 in Bahalgarh village of Sonipat district.

“The couple’s bodies were found in trunk after locals informed about two steel boxes that were lying unattended near Devilal Park on NH-1 on Monday morning,” police sources said.

Police officials said that the couple could not be identified as yet as both the bodies were badly mutilated and they have sent the bodies for postmortem.

“The girl’s body was in naked condition while the foot of the youth have been severed from his body and it seems that it could be a case of honour killing,” police officials said.

Police officials that they were trying to identify the couple and further investigations in the matter were on. While, we have issued an alert regarding missing complaint of couple in the state so as to identify the victims.

“A case has been registered in this regard and a hunt is on to nab the culprits behind the gruesome killing of the couple,” added the police.
