Delhi: SI, two woman constables suspended for beating, molesting girls in police station

Three Delhi cops including a Sub Inspector and two women constables were suspended for thrashing, molesting two girls inside Rohini Police Station on Friday.

As per reports, police officials had called the two girls to police station in a case of theft in a private company last month which is situated in Rohini area.

“The two girls were reportedly called in for interrogation by the police officials whereas their relatives were asked to wait outside. And during interrogation, the SI identified as Rajbir and two women constables allegedly thrashed them badly,” sources said.

The girls’ parents said that the girls clothes were also torn off by Delhi cops and one of the police officials also molested them. “One of them was beaten so severely that she had to be admitted in the hospital where she is undergoing treatment and her condition is said to be stable now,” the girls’ parents alleged.

The matter reportedly came to light when AAP leader and former minister Rakhi Birla approached the police to enquire about the incident and demanded strict action against erring cops.

The two girls reportedly working as computer operator with the private company where a theft had taken place two months ago.

After the complaint, police officials swung into action after which SI, two woman constables suspended while a registering a case against them.
