College girl shot dead by office boy in Bengaluru

In a shocking incident, a 18-year-old college girl was allegedly shot dead while her friend suffered injuries after office boy opened fire on them inside hostel in Bengaluru on Tuesday night.

As per reports, the incident took place on Tuesday night at around 10.30 pm when the two girls were in their hostel room inside Pragathi Residential School Hostel.

“The office boy identified as Mahesh (42) barged into the two girls Gathami and Shirisha’s room and opened fire on them after bolting the room from inside.

“The two girls were rushed to hospital where Gauthami succumbed to her injuries during treatment while the condition of her friend Shirisha is said to be serious,” police sources said.

Police sources said that the accused Mahesh used to work as office assistant with PU College in Bengaluru where the girl was studying and it seems that it was pre-meditated attack.

Bengaluru police have registered a case in this regard and a hunt is on to nab Mahesh who is absconding after the incident.

The two college girls were reportedly the native of Tumur district in Karnataka district and they were studying in second year of pre-university course. The accused is reportedly also belonged to the native district of the girls.
