Court ban on BBC documentary to continue till April 15

The ban on BBC documentary ‘India’s Daughter’ would continue till April 15 as Delhi High Court on Wednesday sought the details of Indian government order seeking ban on it.

While hearing petitions seeking lifting of ban on BBC documentary ‘India’s Daughter’, the Delhi High Court division bench of Chief Justice G Rohini and Justice R S Endlaw posted the matter for April 15, 2015.

The High Court observed that the decision on lifting ban on BBC documentary ‘India’s Daughter’ would be taken after reviewing the advisory of Indian government on the issue.

It is pertinent to mention here that Indian Information and Broadcasting Ministry had imposed ban on BBC documentary ‘India’s Daughter’ after taking cognisance of media reports on the issue.
