Teenaged girl gangraped twice in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district

A 14-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped twice by four youths including a minor boy in West Bengal’s South 24 Parganas district.

As per reports, the teenaged girl, a Class VII student, was gangraped twice in two days on January 27, 29 while she was going to tuition by the accused who also captured the incident on mobile phone.

The incident came to light on February 6, 2015 when the girl narrated the incident to her mother who a complaint in this regard at Mahamayapur police station.

Police officials said that the girl, a resident of Mahamayapur area of South 24 Parganas district, was going to tuition when two youth known to her took her to an isolated place on January 27, 2015.

“The accused were joined by two others including a minor boy who gangraped her and captured the incident on their mobile phones. The teenaged girl was gangraped on January 29 again while she was going for tuition as the accused threatened to circulate the MMS of the act,” police said.

Police said that after being subjected to the ordeal twice, the girl stopped going to school or tuition after January. “Yesterday when her mother enquired the girl about her decision of attending school or tuition, she narrated the incident to her,” a police official said.

He added that a case has been registered in this regard and two accused have been arrested so far while a hunt is on to nab their accomplices.
