Just days ahead of the Ind vs South Africa clash in the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2015, controversy has erupted over exclusion of Indian cricket team coach Duncan Fletcher by Team Manager Ravi Shashtri from crucial team meeting on preparing strategy on upcoming World Cup match.

The controversy erupted after Indian cricket team coach Duncan Fletcher was seen strolling on Melbourne streets while a team meeting was convened by Ravi Shashtri that was reportedly attended by support staff and captain M S Dhoni.

Media reports claimed that there seemed to rift between Ravi Shashtri and Duncan Fletcher which was the reason the team coach was seen strolling in Melbourne streets while the strategy was being prepared for Ind vs South Africa match on February 22, 2015 (Sunday).

Sources say that there was a difference of opinion between Team Manager Ravi Shashtri and Coach Duncan Fletcher on Indian Cricket team affairs and strategies which is the reason that his role seems to have reduced to a mere passenger in the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2015.

Speculations are rife that Shashtri was not particularly happy with Duncan Fletcher’s handling of Indian Cricket team’s affairs and strategies for ODI and Test Matches played in the past since he took over as Team Manager.

It is pertinent to mention here that Indian legendary cricketer Sunil Gavasakar had appointed Ravi Shashtri as Indian Cricket Team Manager after he was appointed as the interim working president of BCCI on March 18, 2018.

The Supreme Court of India had sacked BCCI chief Srinivasan and appointed Sunil Gavasakar as the interim working president of world’s richest cricket body while hearing petition on betting charges during IPL T20 matches.
