Delhi Police on Friday arrested five high ranking officials of India’s top firms including RIL, Essar, ADAG, CAIRN India in #Petrogate in which seven persons have already been arrested for stealing crucial Central government data and further supplying it to top companies of the country.
As per reports, RIL’s corporate affairs manager Shailesh Saxena, CAIRN India DGM KK Nair, Essar DGM Vinay Kumar, ADAG DGM Rishi Anand and a senior executive of Jubilant Energy Subhash Chandra has been arrested for allegedly buying info from the accused arrested earlier.
Police sources said that all executives of India’s top firms have booked on charges on conspiracy in the case under section 411 of IPC and they would be interrogated in relation to #Petrogate for buying secret government documents.
Earlier on Thursday, Delhi Police’s Crime branch had arrested two Pteroleum ministry staffers, Lalta Prasad, Rajesh Kumar along with three other accused identified as Ishwar Singh, Asharam and Rajkumar Chaubey.
On the basis of their investigation, police officials have arrested Shantanu Saikia and Prayas Jain after secret documents were recovered from their possession.
Police officials have also recovered secret documents belonging to Coal, Power, Petroleum and other ministries including parts of Finance Minister’s budget speech from their possession.
