Congress to charge Rs 250 as annual membership fee from all members

Congress party has announced to charge Rs 250 as annual membership fee from all members and has reportedly issued instructions in this regard all chiefs of state Congress committees.

Sources said that a person would now have to pay Rs 250 as annual membership fee for becoming the members of the Congress party.

“AICC Treasurer Moti Lal Vohra has issued instruction in this regard to all the chief of state Congress committees few days back,” sources said, adding that the decision has been taken to ensure financial stability in the party.

Sources added that 75 percent of collected amount would be deposited in AICC while 25 percent of the amount would be kept with concerned PCCs to run their routine affairs.

Sources added that HP Congress chief Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has also received a letter and the AICC directions would also be implemented in the state as membership is going in the state.

As per reports, state Congress party would now collect annual membership fee of Rs 250 from new members who has filled forms to become members of the party. “These members would be asked to submit the annual membership fee of Rs 250 once the membership forms are deposited with PCC,” sources added.
