UP: Over 100 human skeletons found in Unnao police line

Over 100 human skeletons were found in a room in Unnao police line that had left police administration tight lipped.

As per reports, a vernacular news channel revealed the video footage of over 100 human skeletons inside a closed room in Unnao police in UP.

The room was reportedly located just opposite the police station and a constable was guarding the door of the room where mortal remains of unidentified persons were being kept.

Sources said that human skeletons were found store in sacks in a pitiable condition and all the mortal remains of unidentified persons were left to rot.

Sources added that the room was previously used for conducting postmortem but there was no clear answer as to why these skeletons were stored in the room.

Meanwhile, the police official remain tight lipped over the recovery of over 100 human skeletons and SSP Ramkishan Yadav told mediapersons that he would be able to comment on issue once the investigations in the matter are over.

UP government has ordered an inquiry into the incident and ordered Unnao SP to conduct an inquiry into the incident.

The incident had once again brought to notice the deteriorating law and order situation in the state under Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.

While, Indian Home Ministry had reportedly sought report on the issue from Akhilesh Yadav led government in Uttar Pradesh.
