Nitin Gupta, a XI class student of Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan in New Delhi on Monday won Delhi Regional Brain Bee Contest 2015.
Mithali Goyal from Manav Sthali School Rajinder Nagar in New Delhi bagged with first runner award while Oorja Sharma from Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj was the second runner in Delhi Regional Brain Bee Contest 2015.
The Delhi Regional Brain Bee Contest 2015 was organised Army Hospital (R&R) in association with Indian National Brain Bee for neuroscience students for XIth grade biology students.
The Delhi Regional Brain Bee Contest 2015 consisted of four rounds – a written round followed by three rounds of oral questions pertained to the human brain and how it related to intelligence, memory, emotions, sensation, moment, stress, aging, sleep, and brain disorders such as drug addiction, Alzheimer’s and stroke.
The contest was witnessed by a large gathering that included teachers and parents who took keen interest in the program. Each round was keenly contested among 20 participants of various city schools and colleges and Master
The winner of this regional contest will be invited to compete with winners from other states, in the 8th Indian National Brain Bee Championship Finals, to be held in Ahmedabad in April, 2015. The Indian National Brain Bee champion-2015 will be invited to participate in the International Brain Bee Championship, scheduled to take place,in Cairns, Australia from 21 to 27 August, 2015
The event which involved a series of lectures to motivate students in this field of Neurosciences and the competition was conducted by Brig Shankar Prasad Gorthi, Consultant Medicine & Neurology.
