Talking to mediapersons, Maran said that CBI has arrested made the arrests to satisfy a RSS man and former UPA minister from Tamilnadu in the case and all the allegations in the case are politically motivated.

“I am being framed in false case as the telephone at my residence were laid to help me in carrying out my duties as minister and if CBI has any doubts regarding misuse of these, they should check the telephone records,” Maran alleged.
