Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on Thursday announced Mini Secretariat to Bangana to facilitate the people of the area for getting revenue and other related works done under one roof.
While addressing a public meeting at Dumkhar in Bangana tehsil of Una district, Singh said that Bhakra oustees of Una district would be settled within the district who could not settle in Haryana state due to certain reasons where they were allotted land. “Their other problems would be sorted out so that they could live honorably,” he said.
The Chief Minister said that Khyushyala Shiv temple would be reconstructed and Rs 10 lakhs would be provided for it.
He said that Congress Party believed in the development and present government was ensuring uniform and balanced of the state. He said that due to the concerted efforts of Congress leadership and Congress Party that hilly areas of Punjab merged with Himachal Pradesh and it got status of separate State.
He urged the party leaders in the district to work unitedly for the development of the area and welfare of the people. He said that during his three day tour in the district he fulfilled all the demands of local people and assured that their developmental demands would be given due priority in future also.
He said that all the vacant posts of doctors at Community Health Centre at Bangana would soon be filled. He said that State Government would explore the possibilities of tourism in the area so that it could be brought on tourism map.
Singh announced for widening of bridge on Una-Barsar road besides widening of Bangana-Piplo-Dhaneta road. He also announced opening of ayurvedic dispensaries at Rainsari and Padiyola. He said that notification of Health Sub Centre at Chadoli would be issued and made functional soon. He also announced to open veterinary dispensary at Sukrail.
He said that two new trades of plumber and motor mechanic would be introduced at ITI Bangana to facilitate the youth. He said that 40 hand pumps would be installed in Kutlehar constituency. He said that commerce classes would be started in Government Senior Secondary Schools at Budan and Boul.
Chief Minister announced to upgrade Government High Schools, Dhaned to Senior Secondary School and notification for the upgradation of Chalola and Dangoli from High to Senior Secondary School would be issued soon. He also announced to upgrade Balh and Gharwasra middle schools to High Schools and announced to upgrade primary schools, Dohak and Thara at Kolka to Middle Schools.
Earlier, Chief Minister laid foundation stone of Primary Health Centre at Raipur to be constructed at a cost of Rs 30 lakhs. He inaugurated outdoor stadium of Government Senior Secondary School, Thanakalan in tehsil Bangana constructed at a cost of Rs 25 lakhs and additional accommodation of school completed at a cost of Rs.97 lakhs.
He also inaugurated Girder bridge over Baggi nalla on Charara-Arloo road constructed at a cost of Rs one crore in a record period of one year. He also inaugurated ITI building at Bangana built at a cost of Rs 3.97 crore. This ITI has been upgraded to Centre of Excellence.
Later Deputy Commissioner Una Abhishek Jain presented Action Taken Report on the announcements and directions given by the Chief Minister during visits to Una district. He said that district administration had fulfilled all the announcements and directions of the Chief Minister.
