North Gazette News/ Chandigarh
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a FIR against Dera Sacha Sauda head and Saint Ram Rahim over the mass castration issue.

Now, Delhi unit of CBI would be investigating the case instead of the Chandigarh unit.

It is worth mentioning that the court had asked the CBI to investigate the allegations after a former Dera Sacha Sauda follower Hansraj Chauhan alleged that he had been castrated by doctors along with 400 others saints at the ashram on the direction of Ram Rahim Singh in the name of God.

The self styled Godman is also facing charges of two murders and a case of sexual harassment.

The court had ordered a CBI probe on December 23,2014 the in the matter by directing the agency to register an FIR.
