Indian auto manufacturer, Tata has announced to launched its new affordable hatchback car, Tata Bolt in January 2015 in Rs 4-6 lakh price range.
Tata Bolt is likely to provide tough competition to Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10, Honda Brio, Chevrolet Sail, Volkswagen Polo and the Datsun Go.
Tata Bolt petrol version is powered by 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder Revotron turbocharged Intercooled Multipoint Fuel Injected engine with first-in-class multi-drive mode.
While Tata Bolt’s diesel variant is powered by a 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged Qudrajet engine and both petrol and diesel engines come mated to a 5-Speed manual gearbox.
Tata Bolt boasts of redefining the passenger car market with new design aesthetics, segment defining drive experience and high tech infotainment system.
Tata Bolt is built on same platform as Vista but Tata has made several changes to make it look fresher in design.
Tata Bolt sports a new front grille, stretched headlamp units with projector lamps, new muscular front bumper and a bulge on the bonnet adding more character. The car’s flaunts compact and modern looking tail lamps with floating rear spoiler, ORVM mounted indicators and 15-inch alloy wheels.
Tata Bolt’s interiors features a new refreshed look with its dashboard made more driver oriented and the center console is neatly laid both in form and function.
The centre console comes fitted with Harman touch screen infotainment system with features like video playback from SD card, aux and USB support, smart phone based navigation system, Bluetooth connectivity, voice recognition, in-built HVAC controls, and smart phone integration.
Tata Bolt has also incorporated new changes to the chassis to reduce noise, vibration and harshness levels inside the car.
