SJVN rated ‘Excellent’ for completing MoU targets in 2013-14

Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited has been rated ‘Excellent’ for the achievement of MoU targets during the year 2013-14 by the Department of Public Enterprises, Government of India.

Every year all the central public sector units enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of India for achieving company targets.

SJVN Director (Personnel) Nand Lal Sharma said that the public sector company had been rated “Excellent” by Government of India for 3rd year in a row.

“Every year SJVN enters into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Power, Government of India for achieving targets in the field of power generation, financial turn over, profits, project implementation, construction activities, training of manpower, and activities of Corporate Social Responsibility,” he said.

SJVN CMD R P Singh said that it was a great honour for the company to have been rated excellent by Central government. He praised the efforts of all the employees in achieving the targets with “Excellent” ratings. He exhorted the employees to put in their best for expansion of business of SJVN in various spheres of power generation.

SJVN already has three power stations in operation with an aggregate capacity of about 2000 MW and is in the process of implementing ten projects in India, Nepal and Bhutan to add 5000 MW capacity. It is also diversified in the field of Solar Power, Wind Power, Thermal Power and Power Transmission from Hydro Power.
