Punjab to beautify Jamaat-e-Ahmediyya headquarters at Qadian

Punjab government would soon formulate a plan to beautify area around Jamaat-e-Ahmediyya headquarters at Qadian in Gurdaspur district.

Announcing this, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Wednesday said that the government would soon formulate a special plan to beautify Jamaat-e-Ahmediyya headquarters where devotees from across the globe converge every year.

“It is the bounden duty of the state government to develop this place according to its magnitude,” Badal said, adding that the inner roads of the Jamaat-e-Ahmediyya colony would also be soon constructed for which the necessary directions have been passed.

Badal said that soon the town planning department would conduct an extensive survey to develop this entire part as a ‘Model city’.

The Chief Minister termed the SAD-BJP alliance government in Punjab as the most secular government in the country and said that the state government has taken path breaking initiatives for the welfare of each and every strata of society.

“It is a fact that the SAD-BJP alliance government is following on the footsteps of the great Sikh Gurus who have taught them the message of communal harmony, love, brotherhood, peace and above all of egalitarian society with pure secular character,” he said.

Badal said that was why that the state governments have always taken adequate steps to ensure the all-round development of every section of the society.

Earlier the Chief Secretary of Jamaat-e-Ahmeddiya Janaab Inaam Ghori, Janaab Zaheer Ahmed Khadim, Janaab Tanvir Ahmed Khaddim, Janaab Mohammed Nasim, Janaab Munir Khaddim, Janaab Jalaal-ud-din Nayar and Janaab Majid Mahmood thanked the Chief Minister for fulfilling the promise starting the work of covering the nullah flowing from the centre of city.

They also expressed their gratitude to Badal for completing the work of strengthening and widening of the roads, as promised by him during his earlier visit.
