The many areas of hill state of Himachal Pradesh including plains and high hills may witness rain and snow from December 13 onwards.
“A fresh Western Disturbance would affect western Himalayan region from 12th onwards. Yesterday’s feeble Western Disturbance (W.D.) as an upper air cyclonic —circulation over north Pakistan & adjoining Jammu & Kashmir now seen as an upper air trough in the mid tropospheric levels runs roughly along Long. 72°E and north of Lat.35°N and is moving away northeastwards,” an official of weather department said.
“ There are chances of light to moderate rain and snow in plains and high hills of the state till December 15, he added.
While the weather remained dry over the state during last 24 hrs and maximum & minimum temperatures decreased by 1 to 2°C during last 24 hrs.
Keylong in tribal Lahaul and Spiti district was recorded the coldest place with temperature touching minus 3.4°C.
