Himachal Congress would launch membership drive from December 2, 2014 that would be started by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh.
State Congress spokesperson Sanjay Singh Chauhan said that the membership drive would be started by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh at Rajiv Bhawan, Shimla on December 2.
“State Congress chief Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, former PCC presidents, Council of Ministers, PCC office bearers, MLAs, chairmen of Boards/Corporations, DCC presidents, Block Observers, Block Presidents, members of frontal organisations and party workers would be present on the occasion,” Chauhan said.
State Congress spokesperson added that people from all walks of life would be given membership of the party but priority would be given to women and youth members.
“The focus of the membership drive would be on increasing party’s support base in Himachal and further strengthen the party organisation all the districts of the state,” he added.
