Himachal High Court on Monday issued notices to Home Secretary, DGP, SP Shimla and SHO of Rohru police station in attempted suicide at a private school of Rohru.
A Division Bench comprising the Chief Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir and Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan passed these orders on the petition of Ayush Bragta who had attempted suicide from third floor Glory International Public School in Rohru in Shimla district on November 23.
Ayush Bragta had reportedly jumped off from the 3rd floor of the School building to escape beating by three teachers.
In his petition, Ayush alleged that three teachers of the School had beaten him mercilessly, prompting him to jump off the building to save himself.
He also alleged that the Police was hand in glove with School authorities and had not carried out investigation to arrest the alleged culprits.
He alleged that evidence against the culprits is being compromised by not collecting it at the earliest, resulting in erasing of a CCTV footage relating to the incident by School authorities.
The petitioner requested the Court to direct transfer investigation to an Investigating Officer not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police or direct District Police Chief, Shimla to personally oversee the investigation and to complete investigation in time bound manner.
The Court directed the Secretary (Home) and Police authorities to submit their replies before next date and posted the matter for December 17.
