72 vehicles collided on Yamuna Expressway, 2 killed

As many as 72 vehicles collided with each other on Yamuna Expressway due to intense foggy condition prevailing in the northern region, leaving two person dead and 24 others injured.

As per reports, the deceased include 2 officers of Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited while five foreign tourists also have been injured in the incident.

Around 165 kms long Yamuna Expressway stretch connects international tourist destinations of Delhi and Agra.

The Yamuna Expressway, a 6-lane (extendable to 8 lane) access controlled Expressway, is planned to have 5 LFDs (Land of concessionaire) with facilities of 4 Toll Plazas, and 6 Interchanges along the entire length.
