Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Monday sought disciplinary action against former MP Navjot Singh Sidhu for his statement against coalition government in the state in Ludhiana yesterday.
SAD spokesperson and Punjab Education Minister Daljit Singh Cheema today apprised BJP’s Punjab chief Kamal Sharma about Sidhu’s statement
and expressed displeasure of his party on his utterances.
“Sidhu’s utterances are itself the violation of the advice of senior BJP national leadership which has recently publicly endorsed the continuation of alliance in Punjab,” Cheema said.
He urged Sharma to take the matter with the party high command demanded strict disciplinary actions should be taken against Sidhu.
“The statement of Sidhu is intolerable and is against the spirit of coalition dharma. Such utterances would create bitterness in the SAD-BJP alliance,” he said while urging BJP leadership to take the matter seriously.
