Indian govt dissolves Delhi assembly, elections likely in February 2015

Indian government on Tuesday dissolved Delhi assembly after all the major political parties including BJP and AAP expressed their inability to form government, in a meeting with Lt Governor Najeeb Jung on Monday.

A decision to this effect was taken in the Union Cabinet

meeting that was convened under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi here today, as per reports.

The decision has paved way for fresh elections that are likely to held in February 2015, after eight months of political uncertainty.
