Former DU VC Deepak Pental arrested on charges of plagiarism

North Gazette News/New Delhi
Former Delhi University Vice Chancellor Deepak Pental was on Tuesday arrested on charges of plagiarism on the complaint of fellow professor.

His fellow professor in DU, P Parthasarthy had accused Pental and his student of plagiarising his research paper on Biotechnology and publishing it in their name.

Parthsarathy had filed a complaint in this regard in a Delhi court which had ordered Pental’s arrest and had remanded him to judicial custody.

Pental, however, would not be sent to Tihar as Delhi High Court had stayed his arrest.
