Filing of entrepreneurs memorandum to go online in HP

Himachal Industries department would soon start online portal for prospective entrepreneurs, who want to set up their manufacturing or service enterprise in Himachal Pradesh.

A state government spokesperson said that entrepreneurs could register themselves with the Department of Industries and may file Entrepreneurs Memorandum Part I (EM-I) online to avail various incentives or clearances being given by Central and state governments.

The spokesperson said that the entrepreneurs who had already set up their units in Himachal Pradesh may also file Entrepreneurs Memorandum-Part II online as it was also required for availing various benefits.

He said that proposals received which are listed as Negative Industries by the Government of India in their OM dated 7th January, 2003, forest based industry, power intensive industry and all medium and large enterprises will continue to be decided and approved by the State level Single Window Clearance and Monitoring Authority.

He said that with a view to avoid cumbersome process of manual filing, the Government had decided to provide benefit of online filing EM-I &II from home by just visiting the website of Ministry of MSME at www.msme.gov.in from December 1, 2014.

He said after this period manual filing of EM-I &II would be discontinued and these forms would be accepted only online.
