Delhi-Kathmandu Bus Service would start plying from tomorrow, just few days ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Nepal to attend SAARC Summit.
Union Road Transport, Highways and Shipping minister Nitin Gadkari would flag off Delhi-Kathmandu bus service tomorrow from DTC Bus Terminal at Ambedkar Stadium.
“Earlier, the Cabinet approved the signing of Bilateral Agreement for the regulation of passenger traffic between India and Nepal on the sidelines of the forthcoming SAARC Summit in Kathmandu,” Indian government spokesperson said.
The spokesperson said that the Cabinet has also authorized the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways to sign similar Bilateral Agreements and Protocols with other SAARC Member States.
“The Cabinet meeting, chaired by the Prime Minister, also approved the signing and ratifying the SAARC Motor Vehicles Agreement at the Summit,” he added.
